NEON SIGNAGE

Our neon signs are made skillfully and with care by hand using the original glass blowing techniques. The process involves using a tube made from glass which is heated over a controlled flame which enables us to heat the glass to the right temperature, then bend and then shape the glass into letters and numbers by following a precise template. Once the neon sign is made into your specific shape we then give them their unique colour either by using coloured glass or filling the coated tube with neon or argon gasses. A high voltage is then sent through the glass tube which cause the gasses inside the tube to become ironized and give off various florescent coloured lights which are due to the florescent powder that coats the inside of the glass tube. One our experts then sets the customers chosen level of brightness and then encapsulates the tube using metal electrodes.

Our neon signs then go through extensive testing before dispatched to our customers. Neon signs are great as they attract and hold attention, which in turns makes it more likely that a customer will see your establishment and engage with it. Neon signs also leave a lasting first impression on your customers and potential customer and studies have shown that they have a positive impact on customers impression of businesses who use them.

PROJECTING LIGHTOXES

Projecting lightboxes come in varying shapes and can be made using different types of materials such as foldable Dibond (aluminium composite) or acrylic and they can be also made using a combination of these 2 materials which is usually the case. Inside of each box we use high quality and long lasting LED lights which is great for your business and the environment as they use a lot less energy than tradition light bulbs are cost effective, and will last a lot longer. Lettering and graphics are added to projecting lightboxes in different shapes and colours using different techniques depending on the type of material you want to use. For the letting and graphics cut out vinyl letters, numbers and shapes etc is a very popular choice as it is cheaper than other material, lasts a very long time and comes in a wide variety of colours. Vinyl letters can be directly applied which means it makes the process less complicated and speeds up production. Other materials such as Dibond or acrylic can also be used and look fantastic but using these materials require a longer process as they need to be individually glued to the projecting lightbox etc. which will make your sign increase in price slightly. Projecting lightboxes are extremely effective when used on busy high streets and especially if your business is at the end of the parade or situated on the corner where it is harder for passing customers to see you.

3D FASCIA BOARD with CUT OUT LETTERS

3D fascia boards are made using foldable Dibond to create a 3D frame which is hollow at the back. The frame which comes in any colour of your choosing, sits on top of a wooden framed which is created separately by our fitters to allow the frame with the letters to be installed to that wooden frame. The wooden frame is a separate project in its self and comes at an extra charge to include materials and fitting of it. The letters (BETTY etc.) can be made using vinyl, Dibond, Acrylic, Aluminium, Wood, or even a combination of those different materials. Letters can be 3D or Flat or even your logo in your branding colours. The letters can be either internally or externally lit from the back of the letter to create a halo in different colours and with cooling of your choice. The letters can be fixed to the 3D fascia board either directly if vinyl which is self adhesive, glued on or screwed into the 3D fascia board.

Our 3D fascia sign boards can also be sold as light boxes which are aluminium trays which can be externally coated to match your branding and have LED lights bulbs fitting to the inside of the tray. Opal acrylic panels are then slid through groves at the front of the tray, these acrylic panels come in a wide range of colours and the letters can be installed to the panel directly with glue, screws or by using self adhesive vinyl.

FASCIA LIGHTING

AP2D UK can also offer you lighting solutions for your signs. This is particularly essentially if your business will open till late or during the winter when it gets darker earlier. Our trough lights are particularly great at solving these types of issues. They are essentially a strip of powerful LED bulbs but are far more efficient than traditional lightbulbs. They are a more modern and sleek alternative to traditional bell lights which can often be seen on pubs and restaurants. Our LED trough lights are affordable and come in different sizes so if you don't need a full length LED trough light or want to keep to a particularly budget that's no problem at all AP2D UK have a solution for your. Whilst they are easy to fit it is highly recommended that you use one of our highly skilled and experienced fitters who will mean the fitting will be done to a high standard, it will be safe and the job will get done faster at no risk to you or passing public.

3D LOGOS

Our 3D logos or letters are all skillfully made by hand or cast from either Dibond, Acrylic, Aluminium, cast iron etc. These different materials can also be combined to create logos that you need for your business. They are very durable and will last on average for 5 years or more. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and can be lit from inside or externally. 3D logos are a great way to establish your brand identity and connect with your target audience. This process is very similar to the process that we use to create rim and return letters.

BACKLIT LETTERS

Letters are made from different types of materials and then LED strip lights are fitted to the back of the letters to create a halo in a colour and cooling of your choice.

This creates a very nice aesthetic to your shop fascia and especially when it get darker in the evenings or during winter. An abstract feel is also achieved compelling your passing customer to engage and enquire.

3D RIM & RETURN LETTERS

The process we use to make rim and return letters whilst not very complicated does require a lot of care. First we create a face lip (border) from stainless which matches the template for the letter we are trying to make. The returns are then stuck to the lip using soldering. Finally we push the acrylic face of the letter in from the back and the end result is that the face will have a metal rimmed lip.

CUT OUT VINYL WRITING

Vinyl writing is an extremely affordable yet effect way to create signage. This material offers flexibility and versatility and is our top seller for both signage and printing. Vinyl is very durable and is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. We use 2 processes to create vinyl letters, first we create your design and an outlined file and then we cut the letters out of different coloured vinyl using our high speed lase cutting machine which gives precise cuts with no jagged edges. The other alternative method is that we print your coloured designs onto vinyl and then use the same cutting procedure to cut the graphics and or lettering out ready to be installed. In terms of fitting area our vinyl's can be installed to your floor, walls or glass and are excellent when used as shop window stickers.

FASCIA BOARD with VINYL GRAPHICS

This type of signage is extremely popular with our customers as they are affordable, quickly made and durable. They are particularly a favourite of stat up businesses who don't want to take the risk of buying a more expensive type of sign. These sign boards are also great for exhibitions as they are light weight and can be easily installed and uninstalled. Our sign boards being double sided means that if you have 2 different businesses you can advertise both on the same board and turn them around as and when you like for events. Otherwise if one side gets damaged you can simply turn the board around and install new graphics etc to it. This way you are really getting 2 signs for the price of 1. A good cost saving potential.

DIRECT PRINT FASCIA BOARDS

Direct printed facia boards literally are what it says on the tin. We print directly to the to Dibond panels from our efficient and fast large format printers. This allows us to make cost and time savings which are past on to our customers. Direct printed panels have the same high quality of finish and life span as print and mount signs or print and cut signs. Naturally our turn around times are very fast on this product and we offer a same day delivery service.

ACRYLIC LETTRES

Acrylic letters like vinyl letters are very versatile, they come in a range of colours and thickness and can be used in a number of ways in the sign making process. Acrylic is suitable to use indoor and outdoor and can be combined with our other sign making materials to create exactly the type of sign you are looking for. Acrylic also has a shiny finish to give a clean brand new feel to your establishment.
